SolaX and Axle Announce Global Partnership

SolaX, a global leader in solar inverter and battery storage technology, and Axle Energy, a leading European virtual power plant (VPP) platform, today announce a new global partnership to unlock smarter, greener and more rewarding energy use for SolaX customers.

The partnership will begin in the UK and France, giving eligible SolaX battery owners access to Axle’s virtual power plant. Through intelligent control of home and commercial batteries, the VPP helps balance the electricity grid, supporting faster deployment of renewable energy and rewards homeowners and businesses for taking part. The companies plan to expand the service to additional European markets later this year.

This collaboration helps tackle one of the biggest challenges facing the energy transition: how to run an electrified energy system powered by renewables. By coordinating thousands of small batteries in homes and businesses, Axle’s VPP can reduce strain on the grid, reduce the need for fossil-fuelled power plants, and make better use of low-cost wind and solar when it is abundant.

For customers, the proposition is simple: turn your SolaX battery into a new income stream. By joining Axle’s VPP, homeowners with SolaX batteries owners can earn guaranteed revenue each month, without having to change energy suppliers or any additional hardware. Customers continue to use their battery as normal, with Axle’s technology automatically in the background to when energy is needed to help the grid.

The VPP service will be promoted directly to existing SolaX customers through the SolaXcloud app under a new VPP services feature. Interested customers will be guided through a simple sign-up process and can learn more about how the service works and what they can expect to earn.
