Solis and Axle Energy Partner Together to Unlock Earnings from Batteries

Axle Energy today announced a new partnership with Solis, one of the UK’s most widely installed inverter brands. The collaboration enables eligible UK customers to earn additional income from their home battery systems by participating in grid flexibility services across Great Britain.

Through this new integration, compatible Solis hybrid inverter and battery systems can enroll in Axle Energy’s Virtual Power Plant (VPP), allowing homeowners to monetise stored energy by supporting the grid during periods of high demand. Customers can participate without changing energy supplier or switching tariff.

Axle Energy operates the UK’s largest independent Virtual Power Plant (VPP), aggregating hundreds of thousands of distributed assets to provide flexibility to the grid in times of strain. By coordinating battery discharge and charging events, the platform helps balance supply and demand while creating new earning opportunities for homeowners.

This partnership builds on Solis’ continued investment in intelligent energy management. With the recent launch of Solis AI and advanced automation features within SolisCloud, homeowners can already optimise battery charging based on tariff signals and consumption patterns. Integration with Axle Energy adds an additional layer of automated revenue optimisation, transforming residential storage systems into active grid assets.
